Salalah lies in Oman's southern Dhofar region. Salalah is a city of antiquity, there are ruins of a palace said to have belonged to the Queen of Sheba and the resting place of the biblical prophet Job in the nearby Jabal al Qar. It is also the alleged resting place of Nabi Imran, father of the Virgin Mary. Scott visited the port there a couple times for his job; so we got a photo of the port/ship he was assigned to Q A E. Salalah is known for it's Frankincense trees. Salalah is different from other Omani cities because it has mountain views, as well as desert and beach areas. Alas, Scott didn't do much sight-seeing here, but see below for links of interest.
